This limited edition portfolio has been reproduced from my personal collection. I was fortunate enough to be given this fabulous Creep #1 story in 2002. Although my father feels it is not his best works in the Pen and ink medium, it is my personal favorite.

This hit the stands in 1964. I was just seven years old. Published by James Warren, he had the foresight not to put limitations on my fathers artistic talent. He let my father do his own thing and his best works were yet to come. Years later, this was ranked as the all time favorite among the Creepy issues by fans and critics, I also agree. It was written by Larry Ivie and my father did some incredible ink wash that is still thrilling to look at today some 45 years later. Although this is the best interior work done in the entire Creepy series, my father did his best work on the covers of the following issues.

This limited portfolio is offered in two editions. The first is limited to 250, signed and numbered by the Master himself. It also includes an additional page from  a panel done some time later.

The second edition is limited to 2,500 copies, numbered but not signed. The cover is gold embossed with six interior pages. The pages are approximately 12x17 reproduced on the highest quality paper and amber tinted to replicate the aging of the original artwork itself. Whether purchasing it for a collectable or simply the beautiful work itself, you will enjoy this beautiful story for years to come.

The Kubla Khan appeared to Samuel Taylor Coleridge in a dream in Highgate, England in 1797. The original fragment poem has survived as one of the most vivid and powerful composition of its kind in literature. This Paper back book was based on the English poem by Julio Delatorre with 4 pen and ink drawings by Frank Frazetta.
